When you hear the word “bubbles”, what comes to mind first? Champagne or a bubble bath? For us, it’s both! Now, add sounds of nature: birdsong, a mighty river, or even elephants. Our fabulous Travel Experts have seen the best views of Mother Africa from all angles, and some are best enjoyed from a bathtub.
Sabi Sand is a world-renowned address for luxury, exclusivity, and leopards. Fun fact: this region has the highest number of (recorded) leopards in South Africa!
“Tengile” fittingly means “tranquil” in the local language. Each of the nine enormous suites has peaceful views of the Sand River, a private plunge pool, and the soothing shade of tall trees. You can go au naturel with the outdoor shower (see what we did there?) or lounge leisurely in the gigantic bathtub with a glass of Moët.

Have you ever been naked in front of elephants? Well, there's a first time for everything! Your Titanic-sized bathtub overlooks the Sand River, which is frequented by these gentle giants.
The suites are so well-designed you don’t know whether you're indoors or outdoors. It’s one of our favourite parts of Londolozi’s Granite Suites. The large doors and windows allow for ample light to flood through. Blend that with the fact there are only three suites, and you have the ideal romantic getaway in nature.

You'll feel like a VIP in this piece of paradise. As the name suggests, the lodge is on a (private) island with only four airy villas. You have to be transported by boat – it's that remote! And the epitome of exclusivity and privacy.
Each suite has an expansive wooden deck overlooking the mighty Zambezi River, an infinity pool, and, of course, an outdoor bathtub! Oh, honey. You cannot help but fall in love again with the golden sunsets, flickering candlelight, and 360-degree natural surround sound.

Volcanoes National Park is one of the most beautiful forests in Africa, if not the world. Up in the mountains, the mist often covers the dense forest. And Singita Kwitonda is right on its doorstep.
Each of the 11 suites features a private heated pool, in-room wellness treatment area, fireplaces, and large windows so you can fully absorb the dramatic scenery. The décor blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings: terracotta brickwork, volcanic rock, ceramic tiles, woven ceilings, vegetable gardens, earthy tones, and organic textures.
Our favourite feature? The sleek black bathtub set against a lush, emerald-green backdrop. We’d happily take a plunge morning, noon, and night. Don’t be surprised if this bath cleanses your soul, too.

That’ll be champagne, a boujee bubble bath, and iconic views of Africa from the tub, please. Thank you very much. Life’s too short to settle for a shower.
