It is important to note that financial protection is not travel insurance. You will have to make sure that you are appropriately covered against cancellation fees and curtailment costs in case of medical reasons preventing you from travelling. In addition, you need to make sure that you have adequate medical cover in case of an emergency. Sufficient insurance cover is absolutely essential during your holiday. Most importantly, cover against cancellation fees charged by our suppliers should be considered a must, as you need to be protected against financial loss should you or your family members not be able to travel due to medical reasons.
At Out2Africa, we accept credit card payments and do not add a surcharge. Most major credit cards will include travel insurance if the card is used for payment. You should, however, check with your card issuer in this regard. Additional cover can be booked through various online travel insurance sites in your country of residence.
We highly recommend all clients subscribe to travel insurance covering cancellations or medical emergencies. Out2Africa’s preferred and recommended insurance is Global Rescue, a leader and pioneer in the travel services industry. For more information on our recommended insurance, visit Global Rescue.
