Chobe and Surrounds
Botswana’s second largest game reserve, Chobe National Park covers about 11,000 sq. km give or take a small country. Marking the north-east territory bordering on Zimbabwe and Namibia, the park has four distinct ecosystems and each makes for some pretty titillating game viewing. The park is home to the world’s largest elephant population and the country’s best game viewing opportunities in the Savuti marshlands where resident lion and spotted hyena battle for supremacy over the teeming hordes of animals that drift in search of precious water sources.
